Mission Program
As a congregation, we support a variety of local, national, and international missions.
From Shelter Our Sisters, which provides safe havens for battered women in Bergen County, to Cook College & Theological School, which enables American Indians in Arizona to earn a Christian degree, we reach out as our Lord commands us. With the money we receive in our weekly offerings and dedicated contributions to mission outreach programs, we reveal the hand of God to prison orphans in Macau, to tsunami victims in Indonesia, and to those devastated by Katrina. Children in Paterson and teen mothers in Englewood are more secure because of you. Ex convicts in Hackensack hear God’s word and get a leg up as they attempt to make a new life.
But Jesus also expects us to give of our time and talent. When we host or cook at a homeless overflow shelter here in Ramsey or the family homeless shelter in Englewood, Christ is there. Through mission trips to help rebuilt post-Katrina New Orleans, to soup kitchens in Newark, to the colonias of Mexico, or to “the last home on the last road” in rural Maine, we provide opportunities to make of ourselves an offering to our Lord and to bring the Good News to the world both home and abroad that God loves us all… always has and always will.
