We all want to involve young people in activities that are happily supportive of their own age. If you are not sure whether this opportunity is right for your child, here is one likely indication: If they can read a traditional version of Psalm 100 fairly easily at first sight, they are probably ready!
In addition to all of the reasons we want our children active in church in leadership-developing activities, the statistics on academic, interpersonal, and citizenship impact on children who sing are most compelling. See: http://www.chorusamerica.org/impact09_CBS_video.cfm
